jennlk | Snow, and (more) music

Hey looky there -- it's actual snow! And close to what they predicted. When I went out at 8 to feed the birdies, the snow was over my boot tops (so ~6") in most places, and deeper where it had drifted. And it's still snowing. Not anywhere near plowed out -- I think the plow track down the road is the guy with the pickup and plow blade who lives at the other end of the street. The across-the-street neighbor plowed out the corner with his tractor-mounted snowblower, for self defense if nothing else -- most people missing that corner wind up in his front yard. :) (Some wind up in our easement, and we don't care.)

And now the NWS is saying 'areas of drizzle after 4pm'. um. yeah. If that happens, I'm not going -anywhere- this evening. (Of course, Farmington schools have a snow day too, so the chances of us having rehearsal tonight are pretty slim anyway. Must practice anyway.)

Wandered in to choir practice yesterday morning - "Jenn, you're singing soprano on this one." "Ummm. Oh-kay." "And second soprano on this one." "and actual alto line on this one, while the other altos sing the baritone line." "And hey, we've got you penciled in for a flute duet in two weeks. Sorry, I don't have the music today."

And now I should go clear the snow off the birdfeeders and let DB back on the computer. (The birds are currently nowhere near the house as J and the dog are outside, so I'm not so worried about distressing them.)
