More snow. Lots more, even. Enough that J and I went out (before breakfast!) and spent an hour digging out the driveway. And I dug a path to the backyard. I think J had the easier job - the straight part of the driveway that he did doesn't require one to actually carry the snow to the edge, but this much snow in the wider upper part of the driveway needs to be scooped and carried to the edge where the snowpiles are. And with all the snow we've been getting, the snowpiles are getting kind of tall - the one on the southwest corner of the driveway is taller than me! (The space it's in is confined, and I can't really do a neighbor pile. I guess I'll have to stop using that one. Which means walking further, and/or around a car. :( )

Hard to tell how much fell, as it's the light grainy stuff that drifts in the slightest breeze and it was windy all night, which not only pushed the snow around, it packed it down, but I'd say 6-10" in this round. We may get more this weekend.

But it's sunny now, so it's at least pretty. The sun does mean that it's cold, and they're telling us that overnight temps will drop below 0F.

In pandemic-ish natter, my hair is now long enough that I have to be careful not to catch it in the zipper of my jacket. That hasn't happened in a couple of decades.... (it's been over a year since my last haircut.)

It's pretty here too, not that we have as much snow as you. jebra had a heck of a time getting me out to the van this morning as I'm unsteady on my feet in the best of conditions and this particular snowfall was especially slippery. Not wet, just a very fine powder that wouldn't compress and slid around under my boots.

yeah, it's pretty unstable when it's got somewhere to slip. Digging the path to the backyard wasn't too bad, but since I wasn't even going to try clearing it down to grass, it's now a slidy path. However, I'm not tramping through snow up to my knees so I think it's a fair compromise. The sun may stabilise the edges of the trench a bit, which will help.

I just bundled up and dug out the plow hill at the end of the driveway, and that was slippy, as the end of the driveway is new snow on top of packed snow. But at least delivery trucks won't get stuck in the three feet wide by ten inch high pile of snow there.
