Another one down....
Oct. 22nd, 2007 11:48 pmwow. That was a lot of work (and driving). We (my sis and I, with assistance from a several-strong crew of movers and unpackers) got Mum moved on Friday. I was gone for 12 hours on Friday dealing with that (mostly the unpacking and rough placing of furniture and larger items). Saturday I pretty much collapsed, partly from Friday, and partly in preparation for Sunday and Monday. Sunday I drove to SH and back again (2.5 hours each way) for a birthday party. Today, J and I went back to the farm and got most of the last of Mum's stuff loaded into the new apartment, and took the last bits of stuff we were claiming, and helped move the stuff for the auctioneer to take away. Then we ran home, and I left for FCB rehearsal. I forgot my wallet at home, and didn't realise it until I was packing up to leave rehearsal. I knew right where it was -- hanging on the dragon hook in the kitchen. So much for stopping for milk on the way home -- a quick stop to get the wallet, then off to the grocer in town for milk for breakfast.
Next weekend should be much more sane, as all there is on the schedule is a FCB concert Sunday afternoon (well, other than a CHS footbal game Friday night, choir rehearsal Sunday morning, and a CHS band concert Monday night). Of course, I still need to start sewing my costume for the concert. ;) And the kids both want new ones. Everything is cut out except the skirt for SR's, but none of the pieces are very hard.
