Chicago housing filter, short-term.
Nov. 1st, 2007 07:11 pmSo, my sister the PT has been 'released' from her position in Bethel, AK. She's still living in Kenai, though (the house is paid for and she's got some part-time jobs that will pay food and utilities). That's not the problem.
She's working on a second master's degree, this one from Northwestern, in Prosthetics, etc. It's mostly on-line/distance learning, but there's a 6-week practical at Northwestern Hospital in May and June of next year. While she's fairly sure that the university will have some kind of housing information, she'd rather not stay in a hotel or dorm room. So I said I'd ask my Chicago friends if anyone had any ideas. Anyone got space, or know someone who would?
She says that while most of the work would be downtown, NU will be running a shuttle from the Evanston campus, so somewhere in that area would be good. She'd rather not stay in the city, because she's got a big pick-up truck, and trying to drive and park it in the city isn't fun (she's done it, and doesn't particularly want to do it again). Non-smoker, social drinker (and a recently finished bartending class), smart. Ideally, she'd love to bring her dogs, but that's not a deal breaker. FFI, her email is annekoz9 @ hotmail. com (tell her I sent you :) )
