Music Sunday went off reasonably well. I only missed a couple of notes in the woodwind trio, and while I missed a few more notes in the choral pieces, it was acceptable. (if I could just get used to my 'new' voice -- I've not been able to sing like this for 4-5 years, and it's just plain weird to open my mouth and have this clearish second soprano pour out....) It would have been better if the alto soloist had, you know, like, actually read the words she was supposed to be singing. ("...and my heart is burdened be" is just sooo grating.) But that's a common problem with this chorus. People see the way it should be, and then can't change their notes/words to what the music actually says. sigh. We do need to get the clarinet player to play more often. I think we'll aim for June for a reed duet -- June, because I'll have SR's sax at home, and won't have to bug her to bring it home. My tenor is just not in playable condition, and I could get a new used horn for less than it would cost to fix mine. Hmmm. Maybe I'll do that.

Judy is doing somewhat better, although it currently looks as though she will not be able to live alone anymore. She will be moved to a rehab center later this week, once the cardiologist is assured that her slow heartbeat/low blood pressure isn't going to get worse or exacerbate the other problems. My mom tracked down my sister, and she's rearranged her pleasure travel, and is currently in Cocoa helping the ladies deal with all this stuff. (She's got medical training, and can ask the questions that need to be asked without getting as bogged down in the emotions as Judy's sister.) Mom will be going down in March to see everything in person, and help the ladies make decisions.... The biggest concern is really that Judy may hang on too long.

I'm still stiff and creaky, and I could feel my abs getting tired as the service went on. I think there's a little inflammation in my back as well, as the outside of my foot is more numb than it usually is. I think I'll go nest for the rest of the day.
