Better today.
Feb. 16th, 2006 09:53 pmThis is good. I did very little today -- a couple of loads of laundry, some dishes, dinner, but mostly nested with the cats on my feet. (not that the cats were helping much, but they were pinning me down.)
Kids have a long weekend coming up...J is going to take them to see the NASA movie at the IMAX in Dearborn, so I get to nest some more tomorrow. I was thinking about going, but I think I'll be better off if I stay home and rest. Still a little stiff and creaky, and the weather's changing. (A thunderstorm. At 10 pm in February. And it's supposed to be in the 20s by tomorrow morning. Icy, slippery, cold and damp. I'm staying in.)
I'm doomed, doomed, I tell you! SR tells me that about half of the concert band expects her to be one of the two new drum majors when marching band starts in the fall. Sigh. We watched the season video (she borrowed a friend's copy, as I was still not running on all cylinders when they took the orders and missed my chance). It's a pretty good band, although I could see a few errors in the Festival performance that probably led to the band getting a 2. [That, and they've got an unconventional entrance and exit and a percussion feature (one things they got downgraded on was that the balance was off between percussion and winds on one piece -- the percussion feature!).] The video was less than outstanding, but I'm not going to complain (I don't want to do it!). She's on the front cover of the video case and on the label on the DVD (same picture).
