50F when the alarm went off this morning. Not quite 3 hours later? 25F and still dropping. DB did not want to wear his winter jacket today. Bet he's glad I made him wear it anyway. I suspect he will be late getting home from school -- the bus route is mostly dirt roads that were snowcovered and slippery yesterday morning. I don't think the snow-packed-to-ice melted yesterday, so those roads will be v bad.
My back is quite creaky at the moment. I was already creaky from the concert yesterday, and then the drastic weather change really stiffened things up. grumble. Short choir rehearsal yesterday, partly because I had a concert and the choir director was trying to give me a break and partly because we only had the Christmas Eve piece to work on. The piece we're singing next weekend is fairly simple, and as it involves some of the handbells, we ran it at the end of handbell rehearsal. My lungs are slowly clearing out. I now have something resembling my usual singing voice (timbre and range wise), another week and I should have the bottom three notes -- just in time to actually need them.
It was a concert yesterday. I think it went well, but it's very hard for me to tell as I sit in the back row, just in front of the shell that reflects the sound into the auditorium. And no rehearsal today! Whee! Next concert is in March so..... That gives me another day without breathing, which should help with recovery. (also makes logistics at home easier -- J can now go to the church meeting he was going to miss because I was at rehearsal.)
