One day down....
Jul. 12th, 2008 12:14 amthree (well, more like four) to go.
I'm going to be doing a lot of driving over the next few days, and I've finished the first day. SR was at summer camp in Sebewaing (east of Bay City, right on the bay), and it ended today, so off we went. It's about 140 miles, one way. The Zilwaukee Bridge is closed Northbound, so we took the scenic detour through Saginaw (on Friday just before rush hour). I have a concert in Novi on Sunday, rehearsal in Farmington on Monday, then Tuesday we leave for Berzerker. I don't expect that we'll make it all the way to Hotôn in one day, so figure six hours both Tuesday and Wednesday. oy. I'll be glad to get somewhere where I don't have to drive.
Then again, tomorrow I spend making lists and packing the stuff on the lists (and doing the laundry!). Somewhere in there I need to buy groceries for the trip. Driving will probably be easier.
QOTD:
SR: I ran into a firefly.
Me: hmmm
SR: he didn't have his lights on. <pause> did I really say that?
(the kids had made a run to the trashcans at a rest stop to get rid of ice cream bowls)
