Whee! Early Christmas present!
Dec. 19th, 2007 10:28 amMy new saxophone case arrived yesterday. The store's been saying 'due in stock in 2-3 weeks' since June. Thanksgiving weekend it changed to say 'due in stock on Dec 15'. This is much better. So I was checking the website Thursday evening, and it had the case listed as 'in stock and ready to ship'. Hee! So I ordered it, immediately. As it was only coming from Indiana, it arrived here yesterday afternoon.
Wow. It's going to be a lot easier to move Esme around with this case than with the old one. It's not actually all that much smaller than the old case, but it's lighter, with more, better placed, handles, and the wheels are built in. I could wish for a bigger outside pocket, one that I could put my music folder in, but other than that.... And I won't have to worry about the case causing alignment problems (the old case, not being specifically built for a somewhat unusual horn, had padding blocks in the wrong places, and I had some trouble with rods bending while in transit).
No holiday baking again today -- J has the work laptop set up on the kitchen counter so he can work from home.
