more same ol', same ol'. Gardens are still too wet and cold to work in. The crocuses and snowdrops in the side garden are done, and now the second round of spring flowers (windflowers, blue-eyed grass) is starting to flower.

FCB rehearsal on Monday. Got there early to do set up, as usual. We're trying arcs now, with 5ft spacing. They seemed to work pretty well, although took more time to set up - I think the band could hear itself better, and there was a bit more space for percussion, but it's still a tight fit in the bandroom. I think setup will go faster in the future, now that we've figured out how it works. NFHS has "lost" some music stands - we're back to scrounging stands from other rooms in the building, and it's freaking annoying. We'll probably be back to "bring a stand if you can" next week.

Spring weather has been spring-y. Chilly and damp today, was very windy yesterday and less windy today, close to 70F Monday & Tuesday. I didn't think we'd have daffodils in bloom by Easter, but they started to pop on Tuesday in the warm, and didn't get blown over in the wind. I will be running errands tomorrow, when it's supposed to be sunny and less windy, although cooler. Chilly and damp makes my back more unhappy than just chilly. (and looking ahead, there may be snowflakes in the air on Monday. Guess I shouldn't bring the heated birdbath in yet.)

There were a lot of branches down on the road as I drove into A2 yesterday for a UMS presentation at Hill Auditorium. The artist had the ushers distribute native seeds after the concert - apparently, they're doing that at every stop with seeds native to that locale. The seeds we got were from the Botanical Gardens in A2, which is pretty darn local. :)
