Which is to say, very little new and interesting going on here.

I have been working on a blouse for the Livingston Halloween concert, and talking the upper saxes through easy Gay 90's costuming -- white blouse, long skirt/full pants (because we sit in the second row, no-one will be able to tell whether it's a skirt), ribbon tie at the neck. "where do I find black ribbon?" (ummmm. really, this is thing you do not know? How can you get to be older than me and not know *that*?) fabric store? "we don't have one in town" (mind, she's got to drive past two fabric stores and a craft store to get to rehearsal.) Fine, get a spool of wide gift ribbon from Meijer/Target/*Mart. {Meanwhile, I'm thinking 'if this is so hard for you, then decide that the low saxes are a different section and do your own costume'. Of course, the reason they're doing Gay 90s with the low saxes is that they can't think of anything else.} Guess I'll dig up my spool of black ribbon and a couple of cheap "pearl" studs to be tietacks and bring them on Sunday, just in case.

Yesterday, I picked up my earplugs from the audiologist. They seem fine, but it's going to take me a few rehearsals to get used to them. I may skip them for the concert....

There is much work to be done outside, but the gardens are still a bit wet. I started work on the prairie bed yesterday, cutting back the coneflower and ripping out some of the phlox that's trying to overtake the garden. I don't mind some volunteer phlox, but when it starts choking out the sage and the stonecrop, some of it's gotta go. I'll be able to get back out there this afternoon, once it warms up, but tomorrow is supposed to be wet again. sigh.

Will you reuse your costume for the FCB concert? I'm always curious about costuming, especially since I've been watching a lot of historical costuming youtubers lately.

Earplugs? Did I miss something about your ears/hearing at some point?

Good luck with the gardening. I am hoping we can get out to do something in our yard today after work.

Welcome welcome rain here today. Everything is still so dry; lake levels are down; and etc. We still have not had a frost!
