Bands Vs Weather 2021 6-1 (concert)

jennlkTuesday evening's LCCB concert was hot, but not as bad as it could have been. There was a bit of a breeze, and the daytime high temps weren't as high as they were expecting. The pavilion lights came on just as the old guy sitting next to me was reaching for my stand light - he'd mentioned that he could use more light, so I handed him mine. :)
Other than that, I've done a lot of "erm. not so much" this week. Wednesday, I ran the critical errands, but cut the erranding short because 1) I started off the day by giving blood, so was down on stamina and 2) it was hot and humid. Nothing really critical on the list other than cat food, but I get that in town anyway, so waiting isn't going to cause a problem. Thursday, I tried to do some weeding, but despite the flood watch that'd been posted overnight, the ground was so dry that the weeds were breaking off at ground level. [The watches get posted for the entire county, and while we got no rain, the south/southeastern area did.... we could use some rain - the rain gauge says we've gotten .02 inch this weeK. :)] Today, I tried to do some sorting in the basement, and while I got a couple of boxes of cruft out of the storage room, I was thwarted in the workroom because my back got cranky -- too much reaching and twisting, I think. I have hopes of getting a couple of summer shirts made before the end of summer as well as a banner, but if I can't get the sewing room cleared....
J finally got into the pond to thin the pond grass - he usually does it in early May, and the grass had taken over more of the pond than usual. The most recent eyeball count of frogs is 9, but there were a couple of separate rustlings in the grass that were more than likely frogs. But they're not 'eyeball counts' because I didn't actually see them. He's going to be gone all weekend, too. Not K this time, so there's that, but kayaking with coworkers on Saturday and a family reunion on Sunday for which he'll probably go over Saturday evening.
