DB and J both got their applications for absentee ballots in the mail on Tuesday. J was originally confused that I didn't get one, and then I pointed out that I've been on the list of permanent absentee ballots for nearly a decade because I don't work in the precinct I vote in.
Today I got a call from the deputy clerk in the township, asking if I'd be willing to walk in their door and work the election. Even if everyone votes by mail, all the ballots need to be counted in one day, and that will take at least 4 people, and 6 would be better. She said that many of her usual people aren't willing to do so -- they're in higher risk populations than me.
