Sunday morning when I typed that we still had fairly solid snow cover - it had pulled back a little along any cleared pavement and the south side of the house, but there was still a solid 3-4 inches of snow everywhere else.
It was warm and sunny on Sunday, so now the only places there is snow is where it didn't get sun - the front yard is still snow-covered out to the shadeline from the house, and the field behind the house still has snow. It's less deep than it was, because it was 50F, but most of the field is shaded by the woods to the south at this time of year - the angle of the sun is quite low.
