LCCB vs weather 3-1-1

jennlkLast night's LCCB gig was cancelled on account of rain. Lots of rain. The rain gauge on the deck said we got over an inch and a half yesterday (I emptied it shortly after 8 this morning). It's very humid now, as you would expect from a formerly-tropical storm (we're getting swiped by what remains of Barry), and is supposed to get hot this weekend. The power company is asking people to set their thermostats a couple of degrees higher than usual to help offset demand. I expect that DB and I will be eating a lot of salads/leftovers that don't require the stove or oven.
The mink oil is still soaking into my dress oxfords, but it's taking longer every time. Eventually, it'll stop soaking in, right? Esme seems to have dried out just fine, as has the case. Now I have to put everything back into the case, remembering which pocket all the stuff goes into - four pockets, much stuff; most of it used at least regularly. The things not used regularly? first aid kit, tool kit, bug spray, reusable shopping bags, extra reeds, extra mouthpiece, spare neckstrap.
I went out to weed this morning, but everything is just too wet to work.
