It's raining again.

(there's a song in there somewhere....)
Notes on notes:
It's been raining off and on all week. I was able to get two of the strawberry beds weeded Tuesday and Wednesday. I probably won't be able to do any weeding today, as it's raining now. I did get the peony bed weeded over the weekend, and cut off a lot of broken peony stems. The pale pink peonies bloomed on Monday, and a second wave of white ones did as well. I also was able to get the flower bed up by the forsythia cleared out a bit -- there's still more work to do out there, but I really needed to weed the strawberry beds before the strawberry plants got swallowed by weeds.
Notes on notes:
- New music for the FCB concert on Sunday, although there's a decent possibility we'll get rained out. (weather folk tell us there's a more than 50% chance of thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon.) We also got some things just for the two concerts after that, and shuffled the rest a bit. Some things that work in a bandshell/indoor don't work outside, and the FoxRun gig tends to have a few more patriotic pieces.
- The LCCB concert on Tuesday was warm (it wasn't really hot -- I've played FCB concerts in much warmer weather -- but it's on pavement and the sun was beating down). Went pretty well, I think. The director had everybody close up the rows so it was easier to hear. Sightreading concerts is fun! fsvo. one more concert in Brighton, then a week off and then to Fowlerville. Next week we're doing a few things that I've done with tthe FCB, and while that helps, I do have to pay attention because they don't do them the way that DC does. And one of them I played the tuba part because the BSax part was missing.
