jennlkSo, again this year I made a hotel reservation beginning Thursday nite for Capricon, figuring that SR could miss a day of school with no adverse effects (she's doing -much- better this year), and it spreads the driving out. Today she brings a note home from school -- the Music Department has scored a block of tickets to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra perform Brahm's First Symphony at Orchestra Hall. On Friday. So, I guess we won't be showing up until 5 hours after they get back from the concert. :)
On a personal music front, AAAAIIIIIGGGHH!!! That is all. OK, it's probably not -that- bad, but. There's a FCB concert on Jan 29. We didn't have rehearsal over Winter Break, and won't have rehearsal next week. It's all new music, except for the showpiece from the winter concert. OK, new as in -I- haven't seen it before, although it's FCB staples, AFAICT. YIPE! Add to that the fact that I went into rehearsal Monday night with a creaky back that took until yesterday to even out.... And I had a perfectly good reed up and die between tuning and playing the first piece. sigh. It was just not a good day, I guess.
I've been clearing the workroom, and finding more places where the cats have peed....the path to the litter boxes has been a little difficult to navigate, what with the construction![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
johnridley has been doing, and I don't know if the cats are getting lazy or peeved, but there have been more than a couple of occasions when I've found cat pee soaked stuff on the floor in the workroom. sigh.

Date: 2007-01-10 11:57 pm (UTC)And sorry I am to be missing the FCB concert -- but I have a prior commitment that will coincide very closely on time, but not on geographic location to your concert (wherever it is).
Ugh. Shame you can't take away the cats' dessert privileges until the random peeing stops, but hopefully it'll stop soon and there will be no major damage.
