I didn't know that there were still people who did that!
I got an email blast today (that's a thing still, I know). The entire To: list was in plain text, exposed. It wasn't a small "let's send this message to the people on this committee who all know each other's email address anyway" thing, either. It was sent to 75 or so addresses, and the only connection they had is that they had given this organization their email address at one point or another. So now everyone who got sent that email is in everyone's contact list. whee? (Apparently, setting up a mailing list is too much work.)
It included a pdf attachment (also a thing, I know). Sent to some people who only have dialup access, and this is known to the organization. And also sent to people who read email on their phones or other small screen devices, which should also be known to the organization, as the sender is one of those people!
It also included a phrase attempting to excuse the sender from not sorting the list "event is for women only. if you're a guy, please ignore this email". (When I ran a similar list, I bloody well sorted it!, and phrased things differently)
Three strikes in one email.
