Seven inches of wet sloppy "heart attack" snow fell on Thursday. Driving home from the HS where I'd been working MSBOA festival was amusing. Actually, once I got out of the parking lots, it wasn't too bad, as the snow had slowed considerably, and the plows had been through. It's been sunny since, and fairly warm, so there's a lot of melting. Today (Saturday),anything that was plowed is clear and mostly dry; the driveway is almost entirely cleared even though I only shoveled a path out to the garage, and there are extensive clear spots in the yard where the sun hits.

There were crocuses and snowdrops in the west garden next to the side door, and although they got pretty well buried by the snow, they're tough and are back open today.

The sandhill cranes were very annoyed by the snow because it made it very hard for them to find food -- they tore up the seed fall under both main feeders Thursday night/Friday morning. I started putting birdseed directly on the ground for them, and at least they don't tear into the grass as much.

I got my hands on an actual print copy of the Music Boosters newsletter, and have made some changes to my layouts and color choices. I haven't seen an actual printed copy for a few years, and it looks as though the printing store they use has changed printers -- the colors needed to be tweaked a bit, and the logo on the back got really sloppy sometime in the last few years. I'm also not really pleased with the space usage, but there's not a lot I can do about that -- I can't create content for the newsletter.
