BridgeWalk 2017

jennlkBack from the Bridgewalk. We had a good time, other than striking camp in the pouring rain. I need to get BC to help me put the tent up so it can dry out (would have done that yesterday, but it kept 'fixin to rain' all day, and then it actually did). It sounds like we're getting a lodge next year, so there will be no striking the tent in the rain. Also no campground puppies to visit, but....
We did not get rained on while walking, but there was enough of a breeze that I kept my jacket on. The bridge was moving a lot more this year -- don't know if it was because there was more wind, or because there was no vehicular traffic. The line for buses was really long this year -- when we left Mackinaw City, the line ran all the way out to US23, over a mile from the furble lines. There was no way all those people would be able to walk across the bridge by 12:30. Heck, I don't think there was any way all those people could cross the bridge to StIgnace by then, even if they had continuous buses.
Tomorrow I go retrieve Esme from the shop -- first rehearsal is next Monday, with a performance on October 1.
