Update: car
May. 19th, 2023 04:16 pmwe have an ETA! I had to call the shop three times, but I finally got to talk to the service advisor who got assigned to the Camry. (I called yesterday afternoon and the advisor was on lunch - fair enough, it was only 1:30 - then called back later and zie'd been on the phone with an insurance company since lunch. ack!) Receptionist was supposed to leave a message to call me in the AM, but don't know if that was done or advisor ignored it; so I called around 11 am, and zie said: "oh, it's in the body shop now"
"that's nice. do you have an ETA on it?"
"um. 30 May?" (with a note of exasperation, because 'didn't I already tell you that?')
"ok, thanks. It's just that nobody called to let us know; and we're trying to figure out summer plans."
"omigosh, did I really forget to call?"
"as far as I can tell, yes. No message on the answering machine, nothing written down on the notes."
"I'm so sorry. But yes, the car is being repaired and you should have it by early June, realising that the ETA is just an estimate"
"that's nice. do you have an ETA on it?"
