I suspect I have been lucky. December has been rife with opportunities:
- one of my coworkers tested positive on Friday, after we'd worked together on Tuesday and Wednesday;
- that Saturday, I ushered a sold out concert at Hill Auditorium. In the balcony, with 1700 people;
- Monday I worked the recount, 80+ people in a single room, no air filters but decent circulation;
- Monday night was FCB rehearsal. The man who sits behind me tested positive on Thursday;
- Friday was FCB rehearsal, Sunday was the concert.
It's now six days since the concert, 13 days since last *known* exposure, with no symptoms, so I have hopes. :)
Tonight there's a Xmas Eve service at church at which the handbell choir is expected to play. It looks like the roads will be clear enough to drive -- we didn't get nearly the snow they expected. The wind changed direction slightly, so we didn't get much lake effect snow, and it is too cold for 'regular' snow -- there are some pretty deep snowdrifts in the yard, but they're only a couple of feet wide. This is good, because there's a wind chill advisory posted for the day -- currently, the air temp is a balmy 3F with a 10mph breeze -- and I don't really want to walk.
I should probably start the holiday letter and find the cards if I'm going to get them out before the New Year.
