just got an email from the sax teacher at Band Camp: "are any of the 8(!) ASax players willing to switch to BSax for the week? Our balance is way off with 8 Altos and 1 Bari". I emailed her back, saying "so what you're saying is that I should leave the Tenor at home because I won't need it."
I know at least one of the ASax players has a bari (he plays it in a Detroit area community band), and I know he's played it at Band Camp, but only in chamber music. We'll see if anyone else is willing to switch down.
