Sunday, I went into town for a pre-procedure C-19 swab. "Test results should be in by Monday evening." Tuesday AM, off to the procedure. Got to the parking lot, called the clinic. "Your COVID test hasn't come back from the lab yet. We'll have to run a rapid scan. The nurse will call you when she gets to the parking lot." Nurse decided that there was too much congestion at the entryway, and it would be easier for everyone if she came out to the car. She took the swab for the rapid test (which is about an hour in the lab), and "we'll call you when you can come in."

By this point, it's 40 minutes until the scheduled appointment -- not gonna make it, especially as I need to be checked in and prepped. The clinic schedules fairly loosely, though, and they were able to juggle things around so that I didn't have to come back a different day. (I suspect that they might not have been as flexible had it been my fault that things went awry, which is a fair response.)

Not quite an hour later, they call "Your test is negative, you can come in now." That was Sunday's swab/test that came back. The parking lot swab/test didn't come back until after I was checked in. So now I have two negative COVID-19 tests. That will probably require explaining at some point (not the negatives, the two tests). Maybe even Friday.

The discharge nurse is one of the moms from DB's high school cadre, so we swapped kid stories while we waited for discharge papers, etc.
