Next week, same as the last

DB is over his cold and extractions are healed. whee!
I'm still in the thumb splint; still do something to make it hurt 4-5 times a day. I have emailed People in the band to let them know that I won't be back until 14 Jan, best case, and much more likely that it'll be March before I can play again.
J wandered off to Isher last weekend, and has "movie night" tonight, so still no workroom access. Tomorrow I have a lunch meeting, and he's making noises about having the painting done by the time I get home from that. Still will be a day or so after the painting is done before I can move the shelves back and reclaim the workroom -- he needs to wash the floor before I move the shelves back. so maybe next weekend.
I got a new chair for the den. The old recliner (bought shortly after we moved out here, so it's nearly 25), had gotten uncomfortable enough for me that I didn't like sitting in it, so I replaced it. The recliner went down into J's lab as a TV chair. I've mentioned repeatedly (and recently) that the it was a bit wobbly and needed to be tightened. J and DB got it into the lab space, and J says "hey, this chair is wiggly". um. yeah?
The new chair didn't go with the old rug (which we got from Nana when she moved to Dearborn because it went with the recliner); so I ordered a new rug, which goes much better. (and incidentally, coordinates with the rugs in the dining room and in the hall. Not intentional, but I'll take it.) Not sure what I'll do with the old rug - right now, it's rolled up in the corner in the basement.
