a big summer storm rolled through early this am (woke me up at 430 with near constant lightning, although at that point it was far enough away that all I heard was rolling thunder). Sometime around 6am, the power went out. Called DTE at 10, and they were still trying to figure out the extent of the outage zone, and how much damage there is, so they had no estimate for when we'd get power back. And we're supposed to have highs in the upper 90s(F) today.

but the generator will run the fridge & freezer, if not the AC, and we can survive with just the fans running. And we have a gas stove, so cooked food is a possibility. And either the outage doesn't extend north to the ISP, or they finally got worthwhile battery backups on the repeaters, so we can haz intarwebz.
