So, air temps in the 60s(F), a spring-type breeze blowing (as opposed to the chilly & clammy wind we've had the last few days). Yep, time to go poke around outside. I retrieved a couple of pots from the back yard, and put the outspout and splashguard back on the house.

DB will have a lot of branches to pick up. I raked the ones from the willow into a couple of heaps, but ran out of spoons before I got them moved to the brush pile. The corkscrew willow is glowing gold with red branch tips, the weeping willow is just beginning to show a haze of buds, the maple buds are just beginning to swell. The forsythia has lots of branches with buds on them, and is in desperate need of a good pruning. I have trimmed off the dead stems of the coral bells and the phlox in the flower bed up against the house, and cut back the stems on the snapdragons in the deckside bed.

There are crocuses blooming in the west flowerbed, where they're sheltered by the house and the side porch. That's it for blooming things so far, although there are alliums and early tulips poking up in various places throughout the flower beds.

Ji went outside, Annabelle contented herself with mewing at me from inside.
