So. Went to see the back doc today. He doesn't know either, and told me so. sigh. The lack of back pain and stiffness seems to be a real deal-breaker when it comes to diagnosis. (I'm not complaining, mind you.) Best guess is a herniated disk. The only question is which one, and how badly?
So, we skip the Xray -- probably won't show anything anyway, and if it did, I'd still have to go for an MRI -- and go straight to the MRI. Ghod, I hate those things. Ankle wasn't so bad, shoulder was not fun, but back.... Anyway, the first opening is next Monday, at 10 pm. sigh. At least I don't have to go to AA for it. Followup with him the week after that (allow four days for the scans to be read and distributed). Then maybe I'll know something. Meanwhile, I just have to deal with it.
