Not really snow,
Feb. 29th, 2012 09:32 ambut cold birds. And probably hungry -- I don't think J thought to feed the birds yesterday while I was gone. Now it's raining and 35F, so there's a nice layer of ice building up on all the raised surfaces. I will have to be more careful than usual while filling the birdfeeders today. The crows are cawing at the house, and the "mixed small birds"* are trying to figure out how to land on the ice-coated branches of the trees.
In other news, what I thought was cold toes is actually nerve impingement. mutter.
(*) three or four varieties of sparrows (chipping, fox, brown, house), two varieties finches (house and gold), tufted titmice and juncos in an everchanging mix.
