Hah. Only one day late, this time. :)
Sep. 8th, 2005 07:07 pmAnother shopping expedition yesterday. I walked a little farther than I did last time, and wasn't as tired when we got home. We stopped by J's office on the way home, as he's been moved to another building. (Now I can't throw pebbles at his window to get his attention. :( ) I was a little stiff this morning, but I think that's partly because I don't get to ease into the day now that the kids are in school, and SR has to be out the door by 6:45 (6am on Mondays and Fridays), with breakfast eaten and lunch and afterschool snack packed.
My folks stopped by today -- they were going to lunch with friends of Dad's from college, and had to go right by our house. So they stopped by to see how I was doing, and to drop off the part of my birthday present that was too heavy to mail (The Dictionary of Imaginary Places). Dad's not seen me since before surgery -- we just *don't* get along unless we're both feeling well, and he didn't want to stress me further in the first weeks of recovery. (That, and I don't think he was ready to see me flat on my back in obvious pain and not be able to do anything about it. He still takes this Dad gig seriously. :) )
