An update on Sunday's rant...

Turns out that that wonderful germ-based gift my family and friends gave me is pneumonia. As the doc said "hmm. that's not bronchitis. That's pneumonia." joy. 'Call me in a week if you don't feel better, call me right away if you feel worse.' Does explain why it didn't feel quite like a cold or the flu. It also explains why my brain's not been working right all week -- I remember remarking to SR that it I was fairly surprised that my Halloween costume went together with no major foul-ups. There was a fitting problem, but that was something that should have been caught when I did the pattern alterations two weeks ago.
On the plus side, I made a 1:45 appt with the doc, got into the room at 1:40, her med student came in at 1:50, she came in at 2; I had 'scripts for both a Zpak and a chest Xray by 2:15. A quick trip over to the new XRay lab, and I was done there by 2:30, and that included a side trip off to the pharmacy. I didn't even have time to get my knitting out!
I do need to get to DB's costume. Paint a red spider on a black tshirt (have the spider design, the paint, the shirt, and the transfer paper so I just have to do it). He needs the shirt for Friday school (party after lunch). I have the pattern and the fabrics for his cape, and I have every intention of getting them done before Friday.
