Bands vs Weather, 2025 8-2(-1)

jennlkThe FCB concert Monday had gorgeous summer weather, marred only by the sun setting directly into my eyes. Tuesday’s LCCB concert is not considered a part of the season, as it was scheduled for indoors. Too bad, because it would have been another lovely evening for a concert in the park.
The draw is for Thursday evening’s FCB Big Band concert, which I did not play in but did attend. (J was asked to record it.) The city moved it to an indoor venue due to heat and possible thunderstorms. As it was nearly 90F and humid when we arrived at the venue, and a thunderstorm went over during the concert, I think they made the right choice. :)
I spent quite a bit of time over the weekend weeding, hauling multiple carts to the weed pile both days. J returned on Monday while I was off at the FCB gig. Wednesday we did a lot of tree trimming and branch hauling. And I watered the tomatoes that I planted last week. Then we got over an inch of rain overnight Thursday. I expect there will be some very happy weeds in that garden when I get out there tomorrow.
