the gardens are too dry to weed, other than the strawberry beds which have been getting regular water because we just moved some plants/plan to move others soon.

The FCB did a concert on Belle Isle last week. The concert went well, and the audience outnumbered the band, so there's that. The weeknight concerts are easier for parking, but the audience turnout is less. (The organizing group moved the concerts to a weeknight after the first year when the band members couldn't find a place to park, even to unload gear.) I left the house at 4pm and got back after 10. The weather was nominally better than it was last week for the LCCB concert (when it was 90), but the new FCB shirts are horrid (for me), and I was really hot and sweaty. Didn't help that I was sitting in the sun for the entire concert (there were about five of us who were).

Tuesday's LCCB concert was a concert in the park up in Fowlerville. It was perfect weather for a concert in the park - not horribly hot, enough breeze to keep the bugs down, enough clouds to keep the sun out of everyone's eyes. The band's been trying to do a complete concert up there since summer 2018, but we keep getting rained out. Sometimes the concert is cancelled in the afternoon, but there've been a couple that have been cut short as a thunderstorm rolls in from the west. It's a nice drive to Fowlerville, but it's all 40mph twisty-turny two-lane roads through nowhere

J will not be going up to the AP until Monday at the earliest -- last week when he was out walking, he tried to pet a dog that didn't want to be petted, and he got bit. A week of antibiotics from urgent care, and a followup with his doc had him start a rabies series (just in case), and that ends on Sunday.

I have the week off from both bands, and I have no idea what to do with myself -- once the cat comes in, maybe I'll go do some work in the cool of the basement workroom. I have a couple of things cut out, and I need to make a new bag for my instrument stand, and maybe a new music bag.
