Fortunately, only one this week. But it was hotter! LCCB was back in Brighton at the Mill Pond. This week, DM decided that we'd be better off cramming into the bandshell, out of the direct sun. The thermometer on my car said it was 92 when I got back to it after the concert, so he was probably correct. We had a guest conductor for a few pieces -- Jerry Bilik came in to conduct a couple of pieces he'd written, and the two fight songs. I've only played one thing of his that I liked. Next week is supposed to be much better for outdoor concerts. Which is good, because I have two! LCCB in Fowlerville, and FCB on Belle Isle.

Much more gear for Farmington (possible percussion, recording gear, definite infrastructure and plexi sheets), but also a cart and an assistant (J will, as far as I know, be coming to that concert, hence the recording gear).

The viburnum behind the garage have recovered nicely from last year's late freeze, and are covered with clumps of tiny white flowers. And many bees and butterflies and moths at the flowers. The waxbell in the front garden is taller this year than it's been in the past, and I keep seeing it moving out of the corner of my eye, which confuses me. We've not had significant rain in a couple of weeks, so last week's weeding was the last until we get more rain -- it's been so hot that the ground has dried out and I can't actually *pull* the weeds out.

I have made plans for the upstairs office, and now I need to go up there and execute them. :) Still trying to determine whether I'd be better off using a wider/lower shelf, or moving hooks so I can put the tall/narrow shelf there. (there's limited full height walls up there, and there are shelves full of LEGO on many of the tall walls.) Now that I'm done with playing for the week, I might actually have time to work up there.
