It was below zero F when I went to feed the birds this morning. At 1030 (EST), it's still only 8F. And bright sun. It'd be a great day to do laundry (solar power!), but I did it yesterday because I was out of clean underwear. ;/

I did eventually find the storage boxes I was looking for -- I went to a different Costco! (It was only a mile out of my way on an erranding run, so it was certainly worth making the stop.) So now the workroom reorg is done, and I have no excuse for not working in there.

Rehearsals have been kicking my butt. There's a couple of frilly bits in the Livingston stuff that I have to practice(!). The problem with Farmington stuff is getting my parts to fit in properly with the rest of the band. (oh, and counting to 3. I was having a devil of a time with that on Monday.) There is a piece where DC wants the bass line to growl, so the trombones and I are having fun with that.

We shoveled the driveway on Sunday *and* Monday. There was four inches of snow on the ground Sunday when I got up, so I fed the birds, came in for a hat, then started shoveling. J came out before he went off to his walk-with-friends and did some. It started snowing again Monday morning, but was supposed to end by about 3pm, so we waited until then to shovel -- I hate doing it twice if I don't need to. We wound up with probably another four inches of snow on Monday. The roads were fine Monday evening, once I got out of the subdivision. The parking lot at the high school was a mess, but that's to be expected. The stores were crowded on Tuesday, with all the people who didn't do their Monday shopping runs. I drove through the parking lot at the grocer in town, and decided there was nothing that I needed to get there *that* badly -- the parking lot is rarely that full, even when there's a storm coming. I'll be going by on Friday anyway, so I'll stop in then.
