What day is it?

jennlkWednesday evening concerts really mess up my mental calendar. After *years* of Monday rehearsals and weekend concerts (with a once-a-year Thursday night gig), doing band things on Wednesday is just weird. Add to that J being gone, and I'd have no clue what day it is if it wasn't for the calendar on my computer. :)
The concert went well, as far as I could tell. It was short, but seemed well received. GM and I *both* forgot our chalk buckets for marking spacing. ooops. But I did remember the box of plastic critters intended for marking spaces on the grass, so we used them on the sidewalk as well. [got lots of comments on them, too. :) ]
We did get dumped on by the squall line on Tuesday -- half an inch of rain in about half an hour. So that was a good reason to not step into the gardens on Wednesday. I did get out Thursday and Friday, and got a lot of grass and volunteer trees yanked out of the NE garden. I had intended to get into the E garden Friday, but there were multiple varieties of pollinators buzzing around, and they get dibs on the gardens. I may have to deal with them again today when I go out to the prairie bed, but the flowers are in one end of it, so I can work in the other end that flowers later. The viburnum that I cut back has leaves on it, which pleases me. I still need to cut a few more branches out of it (there are some that didn't leaf out at all this year, and I might as well cut them off); and the other one still needs thinning.
