We're pretty good about eating things like that slowly. It helps that it will be in the pantry, and not in plain sight.
I avoid taking the NSAID because it's one of the few that I can take. My docs and I have tried a bunch, and there's an entire class or two where side-effects outweigh the benefits (I can't take over-the-counter NSAIDs). The medical literature for this one recommends strongly against using it as a maintenance drug -- apparently there are some systemic effects from extended use -- and my doc keeps an eye on my usage. She says she's got some ideas for other meds to try if I ever get to the point where I need an NSAID every day, or if this one stops being effective. Meanwhile, she says, be sparing with use. :) (Tylenol works as a pain reliever, so there's that.)
