(Jiji, the black one) is being insufferable this week. J is his person, and I'm a very poor substitute, only good for opening the door when he wishes to go through it and feeding him. He keeps coming up to me and yowling (politely, but still a yowl, not a meow or a creak) for me to produce J. Or, failing that, let him go back outside in hopes that J will be here when he comes in next time. Erm no, it's after kitty curfew; and I have things I would like to do in the workroom. (of course, this means that the grey cat will want to come downstairs and "help", so who knows how much I'll actually get *done*.)
Ji has been without J since Sunday morning, and his lifestyle was disrupted for a couple of days before J left because J's stuff was all over many of the spaces that he likes to sleep. He's going to be even worse tomorrow, because I have to leave early in the morning, and so he won't even get to go outside until I get home from training and errands.
Last night was an LCCB concert in downtown Howell. About 5pm, the band prez sent out a note "it's gonna be really hot and sticky. you don't need to wear the band polo if you have something lighter, don't worry about the color." It was cooler in downtown Howell than it was on Belle Isle when the FCB played there, *and* there was a breeze and shade. It was hot, true, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. I forgot my chair, though. Usually there's a chair in the car, or at least next to the music stand, but there was no FCB on Monday, so I didn't check (and there was significant weirding in the staging areas over the last week anyway). Ooops. Fortunately, somebody had an extra chair, or I would have been standing in the back by the tubas....
