How annoying! I was trying to schedule my 2nd COVID booster, and the CVS site wouldn't let me unless I put in an ID number that I don't have. (Despite the fact that I was logged in to the account that I used when I scheduled my first booster in November.) I tried calling their 'help line', and all she could do was put in the same information that I did. And her instance of the scheduling page wasn't parsing the ZIP code correctly, and kept wanting to schedule me at a CVS pharmacy in downtown Ann Arbor. J poked at a different instance of the scheduling website and determined that all it wanted was a not-blank line. So I (politely) hung up on the agent and scheduled my own d**n appointment. For tomorrow.
And then I tried to schedule my second Shingles shot, at a Meijer (because CVS never has it). Try to log in "there are multiple accounts for that ID. contact your pharmacy to delete the duplicates". I'm not gonna call, because they're usually so far behind on phone calls that I'd be waiting for at least 15 minutes. But I was gonna do the grocery shopping today anyway, so I'll stop in. The pharmacy tech who dealt with it said that it was common - apparently, the database they schedule vaccine appointments from had a hiccup and a lot of records got duplicated. Which, I guess, is better than getting deleted, but still a bit of a pain. They do have a fairly straightforward procedure for dealing with it. So he pulled up my account, and there were two accounts there, one from over 25 years ago when we were living in Ypsi. well, at least it's easy to tell which is the unnecessary one.
Peeps in the FCB are asking me about handicap access for Hill Auditorium. Guys, I usher in the balcony. How do *I* know what backstage access is like? This is the kind of thing that BM should ask the Facilities person (who, honestly, should be volunteering it, or at least sending it in a standard set of documents). OTOH, we're missing a lot of information about this gig. And there's two rehearsals left. (as I understand it, members of the former board got as far as choosing a day and making a reservation for it with SMTD, but didn't do anything further with it other than start telling everyone about it. So BM is discovering all these things that should have been done and weren't, and we're kind of flying by the seat of our pants....) BM is asking if we can rent percussion from SMTD (School of Music, Theater, and Dance), which will immensely simplify the Transport Crew's day.
And it was cold (~30F) last night, supposed to be colder (~25F) tonight; after getting to over 80F on Saturday *and* Sunday. But the bleeding hearts don't care - they're four inches taller today than they were yesterday....
