Painting!

I painted the bathroom today. Not sure I like the color - it seems lighter in an allover than it did in the 2x2 patches I did for samples. But it's a different color than it used to be, so that's good, and it does work with the white and the almond and the grey. In general, I think it's an OK job, but I may need to go over the areas of fresh drywall & drywall mud - I did put primer down yesterday, but the color isn't quite consistent. J was supposed to spackle over a couple of spots, but didn't until I was half done with the painting. He *did* tape off the ceiling - I'd asked him to do that around the tub because it's just too far for me to reach, but he did all of the ceiling. Woot! I taped the rest of it this morning. I suspect I will be stiff and creaky tomorrow.

I need to get a shelf for the stuff that we've had in boxes on the closet floor. I should also see if Menards has the shelf I bought for the bathroom in a model without casters. (I bought the version with casters because it was almost exactly what I wanted, but I *think* I can order it without casters, which would be better.)

Wild tulips and tete-a-tete daffodils in the doorside garden. All of the standard daffodils in the front bed are flowering, and the doubles will probably be flowering in the next few days. The forsythia started flowering yesterday.

In band news, the FCB has started sending us music! First group rehearsal is May 10.
