hrm. Three things make a post.
Jan. 27th, 2018 11:11 amdo I have three things?
- we got a new fridge! I've been looking at new fridges for 5-6 years (at least!), because the one we have came with the house 20+ years ago, but have never actually bought one. Then J went to a house party where they had a new fridge like the one I've been looking at. And the local appliance store sent out a flyer about their floor model clearance which J saw, and said "hey, we should go look". So we did, and we found one we both liked, and it came home on Tuesday. I have pretty much figured out the shelf arrangement and where things go. (Turns out that the reason I keep my eggs on the second shelf up against the right side fridge wall is because that's where Grandma Barker kept hers. ;0 ) DB moved most of the magnets -- some didn't make the cut because it's got a non magnetic stainless front. I still need to figure out where I'm going to keep the grocery list....
- It's been getting warm this week. The snow is mostly melted (just the big piles of plowed snow left), and the pond has water around the edges and on the top layer of ice. There's probably water between some of the layers, too, up against the rocks that poke through.
- the birdies have been splashing water out of the birdbath at a regular rate since it got warm -- I've been putting water into it twice a day. The birdies have also been poking around in the rill looking for water, and have found a little bit where it's melted, even though the rill isn't running.
