Two steps forward, one step back.
Oct. 20th, 2017 10:16 amOK, maybe only half a step back.
Sleeves are in, but I need to put in shoulder pads or something to keep the shoulders/sleeve tops from collapsing. The skirt is on, mostly, but there's a significant amount of handstitching needed -- I frankenpatterned, and there's some detail that I want to keep that I can't stitch on the machine. The half-step back was realising, when I went to sew the skirt on, that I had messed up the skirt construction and had to rip a pair of seams and restitch (and then re-press).
DB raked up the willow branches (yay kid!), and I got the lilac thinned and the garden next to it cut back. I also framed a couple of posters and hung them, and put the octopus sticker on the wall in the den. See?:

And the Cubs pitching was, erm, not good (to be polite), so I'm nearly out of baseball to watch (I usually don't watch the World Series unless I'm rooting for a team in it because the broadcasts are so horrible -- too much personal interest and chatting with managers/players in game, not enough baseball).
