I spent much of Saturday in the garden. I'd lost two really great work-in-the-garden days -- Monday and Tuesday had lovely weather, but I spent Monday helping J buy a car (insurance info, transport, etc) and Tuesday I worked an election. And then it rained Thursday & Friday. So Saturday afternoon I spent pulling grass and cutting back perennials. And then spent much of Sunday with random shooting pains and impingements because of spending too much time yanking things. Wooo. It was chilly enough that I probably wouldn't have worked outside anyway, but that pretty much ensured that I wouldn't.
Today I'll probably cut back the sage by the pond, and pull the dead annuals around it. I need to take it somewhat easier today, because there's rehearsal today. There are rumors that it will be sectionals, and those are more intense than full band rehearsals. Sometime this week, I need to clear the NE bed.
We left the Tower poppy out in the side garden one frosty night too long -- one of the petal fell off Saturday night. I'll have to glue it back on, and maybe tighten the fittings a bit so it doesn't wobble as much.
