lotsa nothin going on here....

so I have very little to report. The garden progresses -- I have been weeding on a pretty much daily basis, the tomato plants have all set fruit, the strawberry plants have stopped bearing and are now sending out lots of runners. We had to fence in the strawberry bed because the bunnies were nipping off the leaves on the runners. Unfortunately, keeping the bunnies out of the strawberry beds also means that the bunnies aren't nibbling on the weeds, so that adds another thing to the weeding rotation.

I trimmed back the forsythia because it was encroaching on the flowerbed next to it, and while I was at it did a little bit of thinning, mostly the dead branches. J started trimming back the rose bush next to the deck -- even if we don't move it this year, it's really taking over the lower deck and rendering it mostly unusable.

DB's driver's ed is three days a week class plus at least one more trip for in-class driving, so I've been spending a lot of time on the east side of AA, in the construction zone that is Carpenter Road. whee?
