Yesterday was cool and rainy, although the rain held off until the Memorial Day ceremony at the cemetery was mostly over -- the first drops started falling while the HS band (with DB) was playing Salute to America's Finest just before the benediction. {of interest to some - when I searched youtube to find a performance of the piece, the first link was to SR and the Marching Chips. So of course that's the one I linked to. :) She's in that video, although another parent took it.}

Today is supposed to get warmer, although it's still cool and rainy at the moment. Welcome to Michigan in May -- heat today, AC tomorrow. Once the rain stops it will be too damp to get into the garden until tomorrow. Ah well -- I have errands to run today, and no lack of things to do inside.

We saw a hummingbird at the feeder yesterday. The indigo bunting is back this summer -- he likes the backyard. I suspect that he's got a girl, although it's hard to tell -- female buntings look much like female finches.
