So, I have a question for the old PFRCers in the audience. (hence the old Tech logo....)
25 years ago, we changed course on the snow statue in midstream. Does anybody remember (or can find) the text on the sign? I remember it said "we interrupt this snow statue for a moment of silence in honor of the Challenger astronauts" and then listed their names. I seem to recall that there was more text on the sign, but I don't remember what it was, and I haven't found any pictures of it yet.
(I did the low-hanging fruit trawl through the scanned-negative files that I could find, but I think my pictures must be in a box/envelope that's not been scanned yet.)
For the non-PFRCers in the audience -- Our original idea had been a SFnal followup to "one small step for man, one giant step for mankind"--> entitled One Giant Step On Mankind featuring a giant reptilian footprint with a smooshed astronaut in it. We decided that it would be in Really Bad Taste to finish it.....
