Counting absentee ballots is a pain. Even if you finish running the ballots you have before the polls officially close, you still don't get out until 3 hours after the polls close -- there's just no way to do it any faster. (We were wondering about the opposition candidate for township clerk -- does she really know how much work it is to run the elections?)
