bacon coma....
May. 31st, 2008 03:56 pmOK, not quite.
The kitten (renamed Gigi, after the cat in Kiki's Delivery Service, they tell me) got into the plate of bacon left on the counter this morning, and ate almost two slices off the plate in addition to the half-piece SR fed him earlier. He spent much of the next four or five hours blissfully sprawled in various corners of the hallway. He's now past the blissful sprawl state, but he's still very mellow. He was looking out at the deck, but gave that up when the rug "attacked" the house.
The adult toads are trilling again, and there's another couple of strings of toad eggs in the pond. SR and I saw two mating pairs earlier today. I haven't seen any toad-poles in the last couple of days -- either they've gone into hiding in the rushes, or they've all been eaten.
