We went out to my parents' house Friday and did work. Lots of it, considering that we left our house at 9am and got back at 4pm, spending about two hours in transit. We:
- moved Dad's computer upstairs, seeing as he's not doing stairs anymore
- moved the furniture in the great room so the painter could get to the wall
- spent 30 minutes taking pictures of the stuff in Dad's workroom (he built fitted drawers for his tools, and he's got lots of tools)
- dug up a compost bin, extracted about 2 cu feet of compost, and worked it into the flower gardens by the back door
- extracted the hose extension from its winter home over the big sliding door in the shed and attached it to the (nearly hidden) outdoor faucet at one end and to a (much more accessible) faucet assembly at the other end so that we could wash the compost off the tools and the garden cart
- and dug up strawberries.
In a normal situation, I probably would not have washed off the tools, simply cleaned the worst of the clumps off, but I have no idea when any of them will be used again.
