Oct. 16th, 2006 01:24 pmSo some of you knew that I was going to go down to Flat Rock and watch The Pride of Chelsea at the marching band festival last week. I did, and it was a gorgeous night. The music wasn't bad, either. CHS was one of two bands in this district that earned 1s for everything. (Dexter HS was the other, fwiw.)
I picked up my folks on the way down, and Dad took some pictures of the CHS band performing. I haven't seen those yet, but the 'official' group pictures are posted on the photographers' site. He took two, one formal and one not so. Yes, there's a lot of them. 158, not counting the three roadies. (and my mother used to wonder why I couldn't find SR on the field -- there's a half dozen female sax players between 5-2 and 5-6, and with the hats on it's hard to tell who is who.)
dizzi_d might be interested to know that the pics were taken in front of the new Flat Rock HS.
ETA: argh. The links didn't work. So, find Formal and not so. (They're just the thumbnails we order from to make sure we get the right band and the pose we want. You can't really tell who anyone is.)
